Privacy and security

Can YugCore read my messages?

No. Your messages are stored and processed only on your phone, and the app never sends them to us. We run no server that receives them, so there is nothing for us to read, sell or hand over.

What does "100% on your phone" mean, exactly?

It means NuraTxt does everything — storing, organising, understanding and searching your messages — on your phone, and sends none of it to us or to any other company. It does not change how SMS itself works: the texts you send travel through your mobile operator, as with every SMS app. The honest limits lists what no SMS app can control.

Does NuraTxt upload my contacts?

No. With your permission it reads names and numbers from your address book to show who a conversation is with, and keeps a copy in its private storage on the phone. It never uploads them and never changes your address book. Contacts access is optional.

Is my data encrypted?

NuraTxt keeps everything in its private storage on your phone, which Android protects with its own file-based encryption while your phone is locked. NuraTxt does not add a second layer of encryption of its own, so please use a screen lock. Your messages are never on a server, so there is nothing of yours "in the cloud" to protect.

Why does NuraTxt need SMS permission and to be the default SMS app?

Because it is an SMS app: it needs permission to receive, read and send messages. Android only lets the default SMS app receive every message reliably and send picture messages, so NuraTxt offers to become your default once you have tried it. All the permissions and their reasons are listed in the Privacy Policy.

Can the police or a government get my messages from you?

We must follow the law like any company, but we do not hold your messages, contacts or identity, so we have none of that to give. Your mobile operator keeps its own records, and Google holds your Google account and payment details; requests for those go to them, under their own policies.

Does this website track me?

Only if you allow it. On the marketing pages we ask before using Google Analytics and PostHog to count visits. If you reject, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is loaded. The legal and help pages never use analytics, and the app itself never does.

Using NuraTxt

Which phones does NuraTxt work on?

Android phones running Android 8.0 or newer. There is no iPhone, web or desktop version. The optional AI features need a 64-bit phone with about 4 GB of memory or more.

Is NuraTxt free?

Yes. Sending and receiving SMS and MMS, notifications, conversations, categories, scheduling, word search, link safety and the automatic clean-up of old codes are free forever. The smart features need a subscription after a free trial.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for. If you subscribe, the subscription belongs to the Google account you use on Google Play.

Can I bring my old messages?

Yes. Setup imports the messages already on your phone, and Settings → Import old messages brings in more at any time. The import happens on your phone.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Text messages use your mobile network, not the internet, and everything NuraTxt does with them happens on the phone. Picture messages need mobile data to download. If you subscribe, the smart features need to confirm your subscription with Google Play at least once every seven days.

Can I schedule a message?

Yes, for free. Tap the clock in a conversation and choose a time; your phone sends it then, even if the app is closed. Scheduling needs NuraTxt to be your default SMS app, and works for text messages.

Which languages does NuraTxt understand?

The app's screens are in English. Its smart features understand bills and "remind me" messages written in English, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, and word search works in Indian scripts.

Does NuraTxt back up my messages?

No. NuraTxt has no backup or cloud copy, by design. Your messages also stay in your phone's shared message store, which other SMS apps and backup tools can read. An earlier optional Google Drive export was retired in September 2026; see Your data.

Smart features and reminders

How does NuraTxt know a message is a bill or a payment?

It reads the message on your phone with clear, fixed rules that recognise how banks, billers, couriers and airlines write their messages. Nothing is sent anywhere to be analysed.

What if a card, amount or reminder is wrong?

It can happen with an unusual message. The original message is always one tap away and is the thing to trust. If a particular kind of message is read wrongly, tell us what it looks like — please don't forward the message itself.

Why doesn't NuraTxt show my bank balance?

It does — but only the balance your bank itself stated in a message, with when it said so, and the payments since. NuraTxt never calculates a balance of its own: some payments send no text message, so a calculated balance would eventually be wrong.

Why does a payment say "Approve" instead of "Paid"?

Because the money hasn't moved yet. A UPI collect request, an autopay mandate or an IPO application asks you to approve a payment in your UPI app. NuraTxt shows it as Approve so a request for money is never mistaken for money received. Approving always happens in your UPI app, not in NuraTxt.

A reminder didn't ring. Why?
  1. Check that Settings → Reminders is on and the sender isn't muted there.
  2. Allow NuraTxt to run in the background — your phone maker's battery settings are the most common reason an alarm doesn't fire. See Support.
  3. Reminders are delivered with an active subscription.

For anything important, add the reminder to your calendar as well.

How do I stop reminders from one sender?

In Settings → Reminders, press and hold a reminder from that sender and choose Stop reminders. Their messages still arrive normally. You can turn reminders back on from the same screen.

Subscription and billing

How much does the subscription cost?

Prices are set in Google Play for each country and shown in the app in your currency before you buy, including any tax Google Play adds. There are plans of 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. We don't quote prices here so that this page can never disagree with what you are charged.

How does the free trial work?

Google Play offers one free trial per Google account; its length is shown in the app before you start. When the trial ends, the subscription starts and renews automatically unless you cancel in Google Play before the trial ends. If you cancel during the trial, you keep the smart features until the trial ends and are not charged.

How do I cancel?

In NuraTxt, open Settings → Subscription → Manage in Google Play, or in the Play Store app go to your profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. You keep the smart features until the end of the period you have paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. Shortly after a purchase you may be able to request a refund directly from Google Play. Otherwise, email support@yugcore.com with your Google Play order number (it starts with GPA.) and we will look at it; any refund is paid through Google Play. If you live where the law gives you a right to cancel or a refund, that right is not affected. See Refunds.

I have a new phone. How do I get my subscription back?

Sign in to Google Play with the same Google account, install NuraTxt from Google Play and open Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases. There is no limit on the number of phones.

My UPI payment says "pending".

Some payment methods take a while to confirm. The smart features unlock as soon as Google Play reports the payment complete. If it fails, Google Play cancels it and returns any amount taken under its own rules.

What happens if I stop subscribing?

All the free features keep working exactly as before, and your messages are untouched. The smart features are hidden; NuraTxt keeps reading your messages on the phone, so everything is there again if you subscribe later.

Do you see my card or UPI details?

No. Google Play handles the payment. We never see your payment method, and NuraTxt never asks for it.

On-device AI

Do I have to use the AI?

No. The AI features are optional and off until you turn them on. Everything else in NuraTxt — including the smart features — works without them.

Which AI model does NuraTxt use?

Open models made by third-party publishers — today, Qwen models by Alibaba Cloud. We may offer different models in future. The current models and their licences are listed on the licences page.

Does the AI use the internet or send my messages anywhere?

Only to download the models, after you agree — the download comes from the public site that hosts the model and reveals your IP address to it, like any download. After that the AI runs entirely on your phone and needs no internet. Your drafts and messages are never sent to us or to any AI service.

Will the AI heat up my phone or drain the battery?

Running a model is the heaviest thing the app does, so it only runs when you ask — or for suggested replies when your phone is cool, not on Battery Saver and the screen is on. If your phone gets warm, the AI pauses and tells you why.

Can the AI get things wrong?

Yes. A small model on a phone can produce an awkward or wrong rewrite. You always see it first and choose whether to use it. NuraTxt checks each rewrite and rejects many that change a number, a date or a yes into a no, but it cannot catch every change of meaning. AI search never writes the answer itself — the answer comes from your messages.

How do I remove the AI?

Settings → YugCore AI → Turn off & free up space. This turns the AI off and deletes the model from your phone.

Troubleshooting

Notifications are late or don't arrive.

Make NuraTxt your default SMS app, allow its notifications, and let it run in the background — your phone maker's battery settings are the usual cause. Step-by-step help for Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, Realme, OnePlus and Vivo is on the Support page.

The app only shows "Get NuraTxt on Google Play".

That copy of NuraTxt was not installed from Google Play, which is the only place we publish it. Your incoming messages are still received and saved while that screen shows. Install NuraTxt from Google Play and everything will be there.

A link was flagged as risky.

Link safety checks links on your phone for warning signs, such as a shortened link that hides where it goes. A warning is a caution, not a verdict on the sender, and the choice to open the link is yours. The check itself sends your links nowhere; only the optional Fetch link previews setting, off by default, contacts a link's website.

Your data

How do I delete everything?

Android Settings → Apps → NuraTxt → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. That deletes everything NuraTxt holds, immediately, including attachment files. It does not cancel a subscription (do that in Google Play) or delete messages from your phone's shared message store. See Your data.

What is in a crash report?

The type of error, where in the app's code it happened, the screens you had opened and when (by name only), a report number, and your phone model, Android version and app version. Never your messages, numbers, names or anything you typed. It stays on your phone until you read it and choose to email it to us.

Still have a question?

We answer email, not phones — usually within a few working days.
